The short version: your AI conversations never leave your browser. Recall stores what it organizes — conversation titles, links, and your tags — locally on your device. Our servers only ever see your account email, your plan, and basic product-usage counts. We don't sell data, we don't show ads, and we never read your conversations.
Recall works locally. The following never reaches our servers:
Your extension settings (buckets, phrases, watched sites) sync between your own browsers through Chrome's built-in sync — that's Google's service, tied to your Google account, and it doesn't pass through us.
An account is optional — Recall's free features work without one. If you create an account (to purchase or manage a plan), we store:
Installed products also send an occasional heartbeat (product name, version, and — if you're signed in — your account ID) so we can count active installs and know which versions are in use.
Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers. We store only what Stripe tells us about your subscription status (plan, renewal date, and Stripe's customer reference).
Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us. We do not sell or share your data with anyone for advertising or marketing.
We send transactional emails only: welcome, purchase confirmations, cancellation confirmations, payment problems, and password resets. There is no marketing list, and nothing to unsubscribe from.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
